Program Name & Description

Hey Sandy ("Sandy") is an SMS-based family care assistant operated by Mr Roboto LLC as part of Advocate.is. Sandy helps parents share care instructions — including children's routines, allergies, dietary needs, emergency contacts, and house rules — with babysitters via text message. Parents build a family care profile by texting Sandy, and when a babysitter is caring for their children, the sitter can text Sandy to receive accurate care information on behalf of the parent.

Sandy is an AI-powered service. Responses are generated by artificial intelligence based on information provided by the parent. Sandy is not a medical service, emergency service, or substitute for professional care advice.

Consent & Opt-In

By texting Sandy's phone number and affirmatively agreeing to use the service, you consent to receive SMS messages from Hey Sandy. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may opt out at any time (see Opt-Out below).

Babysitters receive messages from Sandy only when a parent explicitly provides the sitter's phone number and grants temporary access for a specific babysitting session. Sitter access is time-limited and revocable by the parent at any time.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage of the service.

  • Parents: During initial setup, you may exchange approximately 15–30 messages with Sandy. After setup, you will receive messages when you grant sitter access, when Sandy checks in during a sitter session, and when a session ends. You may also receive occasional service messages. Typical usage is 5–20 messages per active session.
  • Babysitters: You will receive a welcome message when a parent grants you access, and responses to any questions you ask during a session. Typical usage is 2–15 messages per session.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. The number of messages you send and receive through Sandy will count toward your wireless plan's messaging allowance. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to Sandy's phone number. After you send the message STOP, we will send you a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from Sandy.

If you wish to rejoin the service, you may text Sandy's phone number again at any time to re-enroll.

Privacy & Data

We take your family's privacy seriously. Here is how we handle your information:

  • Sandy stores the family care information you provide (children's names, routines, allergies, emergency contacts, house rules) in order to operate the service.
  • This information is shared with babysitters only when you explicitly grant them temporary access for a specific session.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for service providers necessary to deliver the SMS service (such as our messaging platform provider).
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@heysandy.ai.

Service Limitations

  • Sandy provides care information based solely on what the parent has shared. Sandy does not independently verify the accuracy of this information.
  • Sandy is not a substitute for emergency services. In any emergency, call 911.
  • Sandy is an AI-powered service and may occasionally provide imperfect responses. Parents are responsible for ensuring their family profile is accurate and up to date.
  • Carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Sandy is currently available as a free beta service. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Sandy only for its intended purpose: sharing family care information with babysitters and caregivers. You agree not to use the service to send spam, harassing messages, or any content that violates applicable laws.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
