Introduction

Mr. Roboto LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Advocate mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

We take your privacy seriously. Advocate handles deeply personal information — your values, healthcare wishes, and relationships — and we are committed to protecting that data with the highest standard of care.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, full name, and a password. This information is used to authenticate you and personalize your experience.

Interview and Value Data

When you use Advocate, you provide answers to interview questions about your values, healthcare preferences, pet care routines, and related topics. This data forms the core of your Advocate and is stored securely in our database.

Collaborator Information

You may provide names, email addresses, and phone numbers for people you designate as collaborators (such as your Health Care Agent or family members). We use this information solely to facilitate the collaborator features you request.

Generated Documents

Advocate generates documents such as your Medical Directive and Pet Care Constitution based on your interview data. These documents are created on your device and are not stored on our servers unless you choose to share them through the App.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage analytics, including when you last used the App. We do not track your location, browsing history, or activity outside the App.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Advocate service
  • Generate your personalized Advocate (the AI model of your values)
  • Create printable documents based on your values
  • Enable collaborator features (invitations, shared access)
  • Send you account-related emails (verification, password reset)
  • Send collaborator invitation emails on your behalf
  • Improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

AI and Language Model Processing

Advocate uses artificial intelligence (specifically, large language models provided by Anthropic) to understand your values and generate responses. When you interact with your Advocate, your relevant data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing.

Anthropic does not use your data to train their models. Interactions are processed in real time and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy and data retention policies.

We do not use your data to train any AI models. Your information is used only to provide you with the Advocate service.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase (cloud infrastructure). We use Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure that your data is only accessible to you and the collaborators you explicitly authorize.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • With your collaborators: People you explicitly invite as collaborators can access your Advocate (the AI model of your values) and your generated constitution. They cannot access your raw interview answers.
  • With service providers: We use Anthropic for AI processing, Supabase for database hosting, and Resend for email delivery. These providers process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • As required by law: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: All of your data is accessible through the App at any time.
  • Delete your account: You can delete your account from within the App. This permanently removes your personal data, interview answers, and generated content from our systems.
  • Revoke collaborator access: You can remove any collaborator's access at any time through the App.
  • Export your data: You can generate and export printable documents (Medical Directive, Pet Care Constitution) at any time.

Children's Privacy

Advocate is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App.
